The 3-Step Process
01
The Audit
Open Claude. Paste your resume and the job description. Then ask it this exactly:
Copy & paste this prompt
"Act as a senior recruiter for this exact company. Here is my resume and the job description.
Give me:
1. A match score out of 100
2. The top 5 keywords I'm missing that the ATS is scanning for
3. Which sections of my resume are strong and why
4. Which sections are weak and why
5. The 3 things a hiring manager would notice in the first 10 seconds
Be honest. I'd rather know what's wrong now than not hear back later."

The Match Score: Tells you how well your resume fits. Below 70 is a no-go.
ATS Keywords: The exact terminology missing from your current version.
Red Flags: Immediate friction points for hiring managers.
Run this for every unique job application. The scan criteria changes per role.
02
The Rewrite
Claude already knows what's missing. Ask it to engineer the fix:
Copy & paste this prompt
"Rewrite my experience section using the missing keywords you just found. Follow these rules:
- Every bullet has to show a result, not just something I did. Use this format: accomplished X, measured by Y, by doing Z.
- Start each bullet with a strong action verb. Don't use 'Responsible for' or 'Helped with'.
- Add real numbers where you can. If I didn't give you numbers, suggest realistic ones and mark them [FILL IN].
- Keep each bullet short — 1 to 2 lines only.
- Put the most impressive results first, not the most recent."

Outcome over activity. Most resumes describe tasks; high-performance resumes describe impact.
03
The Test
Stress-test the rewritten version from two perspectives:
Copy & paste this prompt
"Check my resume as two different people.
First, as the software that filters resumes before anyone reads them. Tell me: would my resume pass? Are there keywords still missing? Any formatting that could cause issues like tables, columns, or special characters?
Then, as a hiring manager going through 200 resumes in one day. Tell me: which sections would you skip and why? Would you put my resume in the yes, maybe, or no pile? Rewrite anything that would get skipped.
After both checks, give me the final version of my resume with everything fixed."

This final validation ensures your document is ready for real-world deployment.

Your resume gets you through the door. Your LinkedIn profile makes the door come to you. Rewrite it for peak searchability.
Copy & paste this prompt
"I want recruiters to find me on LinkedIn. Here's my current profile: [paste profile]
Roles I'm targeting: [roles]
Companies I want to work at: [companies]
Location: [city/remote]
Rewrite these sections:
1. Headline — Use searchable keywords + one delivered result.
2. About — Outcome-first, conversational, with 8 keywords naturally integrated.
3. Experience — Result-based bullets with a 'Learned Skills' line.
4. Featured — Suggest 3 assets to make recruiters stop and look."
